
Ms. Nancy Cheruiyot
Executive Director of Africa Fine Coffees Association(AFCA)
Ms. Nancy Cheruiyot is the Executive Director of Africa Fine Coffees Association(AFCA). AFCA is a regional non profit, non political, member-driven association representing coffee sectors in 11 member Africa countries as well as associates from out of Africa. Prior to joining AFCA, MS. Cheruiyot was the Managing Trustee of Commodities Fund a position she held for 9 years. The Fund, which was set up by the Government of Kenya in 2006 is charged with providing affordable and accessible credit to farmers and players along the crops value chain. One key commodity financed is the coffee which has seen over 600,000 small holder coffee farmers benefit from the Fund.
Nancy graduated with Bachelors in Economics and sociology from the University of Nairobi Kenya. She also has an MBA in Finance from Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Kenya and a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA).
She has over 18 years’ experience in the Financial Management, the last nine of which she has been the Managing Trustee/CEO. Moreover, she has experience in Financial Management, Micro Credit Management, Market Development, Policy Formulation and Strategic Planning.
