THE FORUM

ABOUT THE FORUM

There are many different coffees in the world. There are many cup profiles and values behind each bean. There are many regions that grow coffee and more than 25 million families that work in the coffee farms. There are many players in the industry: exporters, importers, traders, roaster, cuppers and retailers. And there are many, many millions of different and unique consumers.

Each one of them is a link in the coffee value chain: a value chain that goes from the tree to the cup and faces great challenges today, such as the farmers' economic sustainability, productivity, price volatility, the next generation of coffee growers, the consequences of climate change, how to keep the quality and traceability for an every day more and more discerning and informed consumer and an increasing demand of 50 million bags in the next 10 to 15 years, among others.

The World Coffee Producers Forum will analyze all those challenges in a comprehensive way, with experts from all over the world, seeking to address them under the principles of global co-responsibility and cooperation.

If you grow, export, import, buy, process, distribute, brew or sell coffee, care for the farmers, the communities or the environment or just love coffee, please join us at the World Coffee Producers Forum.

“Colombia has the privilege of being the host of the first World Coffee Producers Forum. In the name of the producing countries, we will welcome you at Medellín, Colombia from July 10th to 12th of 2017”
